Ruminations on wargaming, especially the Seven Years War, the English Civil War and other 'black powder' periods. Occasional forays into obscure Nordic music and opinionated 'dribble' [sic] on Grimsby Town Football Club.

The perfect wargamer’s resource resource?
Laser cutters, large printers, reference library, study space, board games, 3D printers. Even a place to cut and sew your battle mats.
This does look impressive and seems well done. People will either love or hate the architecture, I guess, but I'm with you in thinking it looks great--and I'm only seeing it in photos. I love this from their website "Oodi has room for both quiet and more noisy activities". So, all good when the wargamers get a bit excited!! Your post was particularly pertinent as we watched a film called 'Robot and Frank' last night (recommended by Tony MSFoy' in one of his posts). A top film. The 'modernising' of a library, housed in a gorgeous old building, is a key sub-plot. This looks well done to me. They have kept the books too!
Hi James. Thanks for your comments. Modern architecture does divide opinion. I guess the proof of the pudding is on how it’s used. In this case it was very busy. A hive of activity in all areas. In warmer weather the roof terrace is also popular apparently. Must get around to watching Robot and Frank. The description looks intriguing.

Wow, that's impressive, nice building too. Pity it's not near Richmond!?

Ah, yes. Which Richmond though? VA, N.Yorks or Upon Thames. 😉
