    We all have dodgy heroes in our history though, not just the Russians. I am sure most people(we saddoes obsessed with military history excepted) have no idea the Ukranians welcomed the Germans with open arms and lots of them participated willingly in propogating the Holocaust...and same applies to everywhere east of Grimsby to be honest...not the welcoming the Germans so much, but anti semitism was/is rife all over Europe...Or, just read some John Buchan novels...I like them, but they have some pretty unsavoury opinions hidden in amongst the great tales of derring do....!

      We do Keith. But it’s the hypocrisy of this one, given one of the supposed reasons for their mission. I’d re-phrase ‘the Ukrainians’ to ‘some Ukrainians’ welcomed the Germans in WWII.
