First legion painted and based (but not textured). Velites, Hastati, Principes, Triarii, cavalry to rear. I have some command figures to place when I decide where. |
Dice holders. A new departure for me. The plan is to use Basic Impetus. What I hadn’t thought of is how I’m going to pick the tiny little dice up! |
Well that's a good start Chris, but maybe you need to buy some nice tweezers for picking up the dice...
ReplyDeleteWith 3 women in the house I ought to be able to acquire a pair without spending anything.

Oh, these are looking very promising!
ReplyDeleteIt’s a start. Need to decide whether to do the second legion or some of the Carthaginians next.

These do look very nice Chris and still have enough detail to make them visually attractive, which is half the attraction of the hobby, for me!
ReplyDeleteCheers Keith. They’re good little models but fiddly to position as most of them come on strips in tandem. Only the Príncipes were moulded side by side and ready to mount in rows.

Very nice Chris. Top stuff.
ReplyDeleteThank you kind sir.a bit strange painting figures without tricorns.

Looking really good, Chris! Motivating me to start my ancients project back up!
ReplyDeleteThanks Steve! Be interested to see how yours go.

They look great Chris. I use tweezers for the 5mm dice as well. 😊
ReplyDeleteThanks Ben.

Wasn’t built in a day but moved forward quickly!

The dice holders are an excellent addition.

DeleteExcellent progress on your Roman project, nice dice holders, how big are they?
ReplyDeleteBest Iain caveadsum1471
The dice to go in them are 5mm, which is very fiddly to handle! Tweezers at the ready.
DeleteLooking marvellous Chris!
ReplyDeleteRegards, James
Thanks James. I’ve made no further progress in the last 5 weeks!
DeleteMust do better!
Chris
Lovely troops. I always loved the period - although I don't use my figures...
ReplyDeleteThanks André. I need to get down to business and get the rest painted.
